8th December evaluating magazine cover and contents page.
In today's lesson I have finished my magazine cover and contents page in complete and saved it as a pdf ready for printing. I began to evaluate other peoples magazine covers in order to give positive criticism, also others evaluated my work, in a result from this, because I didn't have a bar code I decided to not have one because I thought it would distract the audience and make my cover look messy so I have decided that it would be placed on the back. Within the contents page I have placed one main photo on the page to make it look different to the magazine cover page, I changed the size of fonts on the contents page to make the features inside my magazine more alarming to the reader and for it to stand out and give it more life to the contents page. The things that didn't work out so well was some of the fonts I used because they didn't fit or suit the information I was presenting. Next time I would do this differently by trying it various fonts and trying them out before I stuck with a solid decision. I would have added more structure if I could as I think it started out messy then I neatened it up to make sure it wasn't too messy so no one would be interested in reading it, so I made it look more appealing for my target audience. Also I would have had a better picture something more bright to make it more eye catching. The things that worked well was my over all idea of the college magazine which was an events magazine, giving all the upcoming events and trips.
